Morgan’s path to midwifery began during her undergraduate studies where she majored in English Language and Literature and minored in Gender and Health. What inevitably brought Morgan to the doorstep of community-based midwifery was an empathy for diverse human experiences, awe at the opportunity of birth to be a highly personal and social event, and the simple belief that health care should be holistic. Pregnancy is a transitional and vulnerable time where people deserve to be treated with the upmost respect, sensitivity, and love. She strives to ensure that the intentional care she provides makes a lifelong effect on her clients.
After graduating from the University of Michigan, she began her studies at Midwives College of Utah (MCU). While attending MCU, she worked with Friends of Michigan Midwives to further state licensure efforts, volunteered at MomsBloom in Michigan to aid parents in the day-to-day life of the immediate postpartum period, and offered birth doula and placenta encapsulation services to her communities. She has supported hundreds of families through the childbearing year and has attended births in homes, birth centers and hospitals.
Morgan graduated from MCU Summa Cum Laude in 2017 and is a Licensed Midwife in Washington State and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives. She is a member of the Midwives' Association of Washington State (MAWS). Morgan is passionate about practicing yoga, playing outside, reading short stories, writing, and tending to her relationships.
"She respects the need for sacred space by being unobtrusive and gentle in her guidance."
“Having Morgan at the labor and delivery of my son was like having another sister at my side. She allowed me to cry when I needed to, she encouraged me when I wavered, and she helped me find strength when I didn't think I had any left. Most importantly, she allowed me to make my own informed decisions throughout the entire process. Some of the biggest decisions I've ever made. Morgan will always feel like family to us after that.” - Heidi
“Morgan is AMAZING! She delivered our 4th baby at home and brought such a supportive and grounding presence to the whole experience. She is not only skilled and knowledgeable about what she does, but she also genuinely cares about her clients and the experience they have. We felt in our three previous births (with OB’s) that we were just another patient, another birth, another day for them. Morgan always made us feel like our family was special and unique – we felt nurtured. Also, Morgan really made an effort to incorporate our whole family, including our 3 children, into our birth which meant a lot to us. Lastly, although we were hesitant about a home birth at first, during labor we felt nothing but safe and secure in Morgan’s care. We would truly recommend Morgan for anyone looking for an excellent & compassionate midwife.” - Amy
