Six weeks ago this special little family had a beautiful home birth. Baby Cosmo was born into the arms of his Grandmother, our very own midwife, Cindi Thompson! I love it when moms set the birthing suite with beautiful soft lights, soothing smells, and boho textiles. Mrs. Kelsi did not disappoint, her room had an ambiance that was peaceful and calming. Today was special because it was our last in office appointment with baby Cosmo. He is growing fast and looking mighty cute in his little harem pants, we will miss kissing those sweet cheeks!

The quality of care Seattle Midwives provided through our pregnancy and birth was above and beyond what we expected. We originally were using hospital midwives and decided during our 8th month to switch to a homebirth after touring the hospital delivery rooms and realizing it was not what we wanted.
The contrast in the care we received (hospital vs. Seattle Midwives) was like night and day. The midwives were very knowledgeable and caring, providing us with all the support and guidance that we needed as a couple and for the little person growing inside.
When the day of our birth came they were a calm and strong team, creating the space to labor safely with gentle advice and suggestions at the right times, as well as allowing me to labor in my own way. We couldn't be happier with our care. -EM
